Amy is a shy Sydney woman in her late twenties. She is deeply troubled by the anxieties of urban life and fraught with the pressures of finding modern love. When a supernatural being she believes has haunted her since childhood slams a hammer blow into her life,  Amy- instead of running- engages with it. For the first time in her life, she experiences a warmth, wonder, and kind of curious familiarity. This ‘passenger’ begins to cast a positive influence over Amy’s confidence and outlook on life- until the death of a close friend sends Amy’s life into a spiral, and she begins to understand  that in opening the door to her passenger, she has let something else in.
As the true intentions of the malicious entity are revealed, she is forced to cede ever more control in order to protect those close to her. As the body count rises, Amy fights back to maintain soul and sanity against her degrading and sadistic predator. Amy must uncover the hideous truth about her ‘passenger,’ and will find she is not alone in her battle.
